For a standing booking — a tenant's Monday morning team meeting, a weekly clinic — set the Recurrence on the booking instead of creating each one by hand.
Setting it up
- Create the booking as normal for the first occurrence.
- Set Recurrence to Daily, Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly.
- Set Repeat Until.
- Tick Include weekends if the pattern should cover Saturday and Sunday.
WorkHub generates the whole series and checks each occurrence for clashes.
When an occurrence clashes
If one date in the series is already booked, WorkHub tells you which and creates the rest. You then place that occurrence somewhere else manually — it won't silently skip it or silently double-book.
Changing one occurrence
Open that occurrence and edit it. Other dates in the series are unaffected — useful for the week the meeting moves to Tuesday.
Changing the whole series
There's no single edit that rewrites a whole series. For a permanent change, cancel the remaining occurrences and create a new recurring booking from the new start date. Slightly blunt, but it means you can never accidentally rewrite six months of history.
Don't use recurrence for a lease
A tenant with permanent use of a room has a tenancy, not a booking. Record it in Lifecycle as part of their contract — otherwise it won't be invoiced as rent and won't appear in your occupancy figures.
